Ameris Bank Nominated for Community Stewardship Award

Beaufort, SC - Ameris Bank has been nominated by the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce Visitor and Convention Bureau for a Civitas Awards for Business Excellence - Community Stewardship Award. This award recognizes a for-profit business that actively and voluntarily supports community service organizations or provides support to individuals in need. It recognizes businesses that have made exemplary or long-standing contributions to our community, promoting community involvement within its corporate culture.
Will Achurch, a Business Banker at Ameris Bank's Beaufort location, accepted the nomination on behalf of the Bank. "This nomination is a great honor," Achurch said. "We recognize that our ability to perceiver through tough economic times is not only due to our commitment to local communities and customers but also because of the overall strength and support of our larger Ameris Bank family."
The award winner will be announced at the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce Visitor and Convention Bureau's Annual Meeting and Civitas Awards Dinner on Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Dataw Island Clubhouse.
