Sunny
K. Park - Board of Directors Member
Sunny Park is CEO of three highly
successful companies: General Building Maintenance,
Inc., with annual sales of $40 million; Global
Sun Investments, Inc., a real estate investment
firm with assets of $20 million; and Hepatech
Clean Room Services, Inc., a micro contamination
service provider for semiconductor manufacturers.
Among Park’s community activities
are founding the Good Neighboring Campaign, a
movement that encourages Asian Americans to participate
in American community affairs, and serving as
commissioner and chair of the education committee
for the Presidential Commission on Asian American
and Pacific Islanders. He also serves as a board
member for the National Museum of Patriotism,
a commissioner of the Governor’s New Georgia
Commission, a board member of the Community Foundation
for Greater Atlanta and on the board of directors
for WABE Public Radio/TV and Board of Visitors
of Emory University and Berry College. Mr. Park
is also the Secretary and Treasurer of the Georgia
Ports Authority.
Exemplary community and civic service
has earned Park numerous awards and recognition
that includes being named a laureate in the Georgia
Business Hall of Fame 2004; the 1992 Small Business
Person of the Year by the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce
and Atlanta Business Chronicle; and 2000 Entrepreneur
of the Year by the National Women in Business.
Park attended Indiana University,
the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern
University and the U.S. Army War College. Currently,
he is a resident of Sandy Springs.
